What Is The Meaning of Life

So many questions. Not enough answers? What is life about? What is the meaning of life? What is my purpose for life? How do I get what I want from life? Our minds are filled with many similar questions about life. The funny thing is life is filled with answers we refuse to accept. And why do we do that?

The questions we carry inside us should lead us back to the answers we need. Most of us will spend years upon years trying to fulfill what we believe is our purpose in life or answer the questions through adventures we undertake. When we come up empty, it is back to the drawing board and starting over until time runs out.

Knowledge, however, grows when we have something concrete to look forward to and to work toward. In life, we become proficient at the things we repeat and, we can see that most experts spend a good part of their lives honing a special ability they put to work for them in their latter years.

But, ask them what they would have done and almost everyone has some regrets about what they did not do. A lot of the times it is information or skills they did not develop and if we dig deeper, those skills or information is simply their missing roots. All the answers in the world will not fulfill us if we do not discover our root.

These days we can look up and find collected knowledge about anything. We do have to be careful of the information we find. Most collected information is biased toward a culture, be it from ancient times or modern times.

But there is knowledge that can show us the root of our existence and point us to the one who can guide us in finding knowledge that does fulfill. Call me crazy, but there is absolute truth established at the beginning of life that we can lean on and grow from learning.

A knowledge of God, found in the Bible and various writings today can take us into the depths of knowledge we cannot find anywhere else. Unlike regular knowledge, the more we believe the more access we have to the inspiration for the Bible. Knowing that there is a God who created us in His image to take care of planet earth removes a lot of guessing.

See, Genesis 1 and 2 tells us about the days God spend making the world and everything in it. 6 days to make everything we see on the earth and space above. Then He created an extra day for those who believe Him to take a break from all the work, if we so choose. God said, “Remember The seventh day to keep it holy”, a day of remembrance and peace for those who want to spend time communing with God and resting.

In Genesis, we also find out whole purpose and the meaning of life. God said “Let us make mankind in our image and in our likeness”. So we are made in the image of God, but it did not end there because God also said, “Let them rule over the earth and over everything on the earth”. So, in those 6 days God created the earth, and the seventh day that God rested, he created us and assigned our purpose.

As I have explored and learned the truth a lot of questions I had in the past continue to be answered, even as life dances toward a crescendo. Like, who am I, why are we here? What is the meaning of life.

That knowledge and the freedom to speak with the creator has given me freedom from the many philosophies of life. To be honest, we can believe anything we want and we have made strides in technology. But the violence and the lies and the greed we see and the wickedness gets to me every time, so I had many questions.

But God has a way of answering those who spend the time looking for the truth. When we are given the knowledge to ask God questions and invite Him into our lives the life we live will shift drastically, if we are willing to believe. And it may sound crazy because most of us don’t know how to speak to God or how God speaks. But, when we believe God will answer and spend time seeking Him, God answers.

The knowledge we get when we believe and continue exploring God’s knowledge and speaking to Him in prayer and in our hearts is immense. I spent a lot of time gathering various thoughts and knowledge as a younger man. But after the Lord rescued me from the aimless life of art and daydreaming and working, He took that knowledge and refined them in ways that I could see the truth.

While exploring the Bible, that truth began producing answers I can now see in every aspect of human life. And yet, we spend generations pondering the same things. The meaning of life is presented for us to know.

I am not special. I wanted the truth out of life and everywhere I turned I was running into the same things we see being passed around. When I began listening to God things changed. I changed and continue to change. The things I see and get to be part of gives me the courage to share that if we seek God we will find Him. And Yeshuah (Jesus Christ) is the way.

But if we continue looking for our next aimless adventure we will miss out on the most important answer we can find. The answer to life itself, because life is a gift from God. Those of us who search out the God and find Him have an opportunity to live forever, should we believe that Yeshuah Messiah (Jesus Christ) is the savior God sent into the world to save it from the ultimate death.

All the questions we have in life is supposed to lead us to the truth. While we can find our own answers and go our own way, there is knowledge available that can literally grant us an audience with God and immortality. All of this is free, just by believing God that He created the world, and sent His Son into the world to save those who believe Him.
