Restoration Principle

Restoration Principle by Spiritseid

To be holy means we believe God and cling to His word in every circumstance. That isn’t always easy and sometimes we come up real short. While everybody may have an opinion about falling and coming up short, we all get our share and have our stories. God bless you if you’re one of the perfect people on earth, but I am not. I make mistakes and feel alright talking about it, because those are the times I praise God even more.

When we fall short as believers our fall can last minutes or years. One day we’re minding our business and suddenly, BAM, caught in some intriguing stuff or some vice. Vices are the worst, because that’s usually something we like. There are people caught up in scandals, drugs, or other situations that we don’t really want to know about. While we can avoid some, it is best to agree with the One who delivers us from all unrighteousness and trouble.

The one thing I fall back on until the last trumpet is to always turn back to God. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or how far you’ve fallen, hit your knees if you are or were a former believer. There are lots of opinions about being separated from God, but as long as you have breath you can call on God – Romans 10:13 & Proverbs 3:5 are my reasons and it is up to you to find and read. The gist is, trust in the Lord.

The times when we fall short and can’t do right, having the word of God in our hearts will guide us back to the Lord. There we can get the strength we need, true story. That may not always seem like the right decision while we’re making it because most of what God says goes against society or stuff we want sometimes. But God’s counsel is supreme.

His word is like a lamp on the path we have to walk in life. Our footing might often seem unstable in some spaces, but experience has shown me that God works things out for the good of people who trust Him and follow His instructions. Having this understanding has helped me at times to ignore what I can’t do.

When we take the time to study and put into practice what God says a different kind of confidence develops in us over time. At times when I’ve screwed up having confidence in the Lord has given me the ability to slow down and pay attention. When we have patience God restores us after we’ve gone through troubles. This is true restoration, because we gain wisdom from the experiences.

When we believe in God and are restored by Him we change because of the work God is doing in our hearts. Those who practice God’s word are often brought back to what God says in times of hardship and distress, so that we remember to trust in the Lord and what He is doing. Again, lots of opinions, but the people crazy enough to believe come through great trouble celebrating God in the moment.

As an imperfect people, living life can become burdened; this from our decisions, other people, experiences, or just a bad day. But when we experience restoration from God the person we are goes through a transformation. Yeah, I know there are people who are the same year after year; but that is how we can tell a believer. Believers continually mature in the word of God, meaning we are constantly changing. It may not seem like anything is happening for us for years at a time, but one day we react different.

When people who believe in Jesus Christ are going through trouble, we are not different from people who don’t. The difference shows up in how we respond and, if you’re able to speak to the person and get their feedback on anything we may see the patience and peace God puts in the hearts of the people who follow Him.

We often hear about restoration as a means to get back to where we were. But when we are restored by God we can mature in the wisdom we get from whatever we’re being restored from. The wise people of the world humble themselves when they realize God is restoring them and pay close attention and speak to God so that they can get His counsel.

Those who remain with God after being restored and continue speaking to Him gain more maturity in the Spirit than those who collect their winnings and move on to the next thing. God is a restorer; he restores broken hearts, healing, spirituality, and stuff too. But in His wisdom, God takes care of the things that matter most and hope we get the lesson and remain faithful. If you’ve fallen short on anything or are struggling with anything you consider a sin, call on God no matter how far you believe you’ve fallen. Do it while there is time (you’re alive).
