The best decision sometimes is to do nothing. Just sit and pay attention. Don’t overthink, don’t speak, don’t visit anyone. Just sit and let life happen. It may take a few of your hours and it may seem a waste to normal people. But to the observant, there is a valuable lesson in peace and quiet, especially when we’re going through something.
Solutions aren’t always found in activity. Sometimes, you only need a moment to see the field in order to make a decision. What feels like mental drain can actually be your body telling you to just chill.
Life throws us all sorts of problems and shades, even if we don’t go looking. That is just life. Living in Christ has taught me the important lesson of just being still. Observe and pay attention and learn from what happens in the stillness. All the activity that takes place in a mind at ease, even in the worst decisions can solidify the direction necessary. That is absolutely true when the road is rocky.
The best decisions do not come from confronting, but from distancing and paying attention to the details. This is where an objective view without our opinion is possible. The outcomes from decisions in stillness can make or break futures.
