What’s the story you have heard about sin? Do you know what it is or how it came to be?

Earth is full of stories throughout every generation. Love and war seem to top the list of stories told on earth. Some wind for thousands of years and some for only a few. There is no story more vital than the story set in a garden of peace and beauty.

I you can find a story more riveting than the one that starts with “You will not surely die”, you surely have a winner. Those words are found in a story in the book of Genesis 3:4. This is a story of why God sent His one and only begotten son into the world to die.

It is the story of how sin entered the world, and the lengths God has gone through to correct, not only the generations before, but us. Choosing Abraham in the ancient days as his vessel to fulfill the words written in Genesis 3:15 “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head and you will strike his heel”.

The years of evil started somewhere there. Since then earth has been filled with all sorts of evil, of envy, of lusts, of murders. These days we live the words of God without realizing it. But fortunately for us God loved the world (us) so much that He sent His only begotten son into the world so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but gain eternal life, John 3:16 Reminds us.

This Son is Jesus Christ. All we must do to be saved is believe in Jesus Christ – The very word of God made flesh – John 1:14. Jesus Christ made an end of sin through his life and His sacrifice on the cross. Because of his sacrificial acts those who choose to believe God, by believing in Jesus do not face condemnation at the judgement.

And that is the short story of sin; how it came to be in the world, and how God setting people free if they believe in Jesus Christ His Son. It goes like this…

Those who believe in Jesus will live eternally, (Forever, immortal, beyond the grave). All that is required of us is to believe in Jesus. It is a great idea to choose to believe God and come to Jesus, and get to know about the kingdom of God.
