Freedom is the word of the day. Freedom is used all over the world. Americans use freedom, in almost every sentence when they talk about their ability to do things. Throughout the world, freedom is a hot-button topic because some nations tend not to be so free.
What does freedom look like? Freedom looks like an open field with everything on it, yet free people do not allow everything to sidetrack them. Freedom of mind is knowing that we can do anything we choose to do; free will is having the choice to make any decision to do anything we want to do. Freecom then, is making the decision to follow what we want.
In the Bible we are told “we would know the truth, and the truth would make us free”. One thing I’m learning about freedom is, when we can resist the dictates of societal opinions and follow the way of the Lord we find a freedom we can’t imagine.
Freedom, then, is the willingness to do the right thing when everyone else is moving toward the cliff.
