The Meaning Of: God is Coming to Judge Every Good and Bad Thing

Ecclesiastes 12:14 tells us that God will bring every work of mankind under judgment. Some of those works will condemn the people who commit them to wrath because they don’t believe God and their works were wicked (John 3:18). Those who believe God and repent, will live forever because of what Jesus did for us (John 3:16). It’s not going to be a surprise (Romans 1:20). The children of God speak the truth so everyone can hear it and make a decision (Matthew 28:19). The decision is you either believe God, that He created everything and calls us to repent. Or you believe Satan and his myriads of doctrines, beginnings, worldly lusts, sin – worthless knowledge. Everything mankind does will be judged.

God is a great king who sits on an exalted throne over all of his creation. What He speaks becomes life. The words God speaks are law, by virtue. And in His testimonies, we are told that our decisions are life and prosperity, or death and destruction – Deuteronomy 30:15. And we who know God, know him to be faithful and just in what He says and does. While we tell you the good news of salvation. We cannot fail to tell about the outcome for those who choose to face God’s wrath, by refusing the grace God extends toward them.

So how did we get here, you may want to ask? If you haven’t heard the story; our great, great, great… ancestor Adam ate fruit from a tree that gave us knowledge because his wife ate and gave him this fruit. Genesis 3:3 tells us that a certain serpent, inhabited by a fallen angel named Lucifer tricked the wife, Eve into eating fruit from a tree God had forbidden and then gave to her husband, Adam.

Because Adam ate from the fruit, which God had said “You must not eat from this tree of the knowledge of good and evil, because the day you eat from it you will surely die” – we are born to sin and death. We do some things that inherently aren’t right to one another due to the sin we are born under.

Because Adam decided to eat the fruit Even gave him, we are born to face the wrath of God. But God sent Jesus to live among us and to pay the price for our sins. If we believe in God, who sent Jesus; we don’t have to face wrath. We are reborn in Jesus, free from sin and death. On the day the whole world is judged, those who believe in Jesus have the hope of redemption because we believe. While many stories are told about what God has done; God gives us a chance to choose life instead of death by believing in Jesus and living in this grace He’s made for us. Adam had chosen death for everyone by eating from the tree. The life of mankind was redeemed from death, by God, through Jesus Christ.

Several things are clear today; we still don’t know what to do with the knowledge we gained from Adam and Eve eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. The evidence is a repeating history of violence and evil committed by people, some of whom turn and blame God. But God sent Jesus into the world to save mankind, not to condemn, (John 3:17). But the day Jesus returns it will be to judge the world for sin (Revelation 22:12).

Everything we have done, good and evil will be brought to judgment. The day Jesus returns people who are in the grave will wake up. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 tells us those who are alive will be changed and will fly up to meet the Lord in the air; everyone will see him. Those who have refused His grace will die because the Spirit of God will be removed from the Earth for a period of 1000 years. Satan will be imprisoned on earth for this 1000-year period.

During this time a great judgment will take place in Heaven. Then, those who have died on the Earth, will wake up to be deceived by Satan (Revelation 20:8). This is what is meant by those who refuse God’s grace, choose death. They will see God when He comes to earth to renew it and lay down the New Jerusalem. But they will wake under deception from the devil, who they choose by refusing God. They will die with Satan on that day while attacking the city of God (Revelation 20: 5-10). Consider each time you hear the gospel preached or someone speaks to you about Jesus.

If you have never heard this story, please open a Bible and read it carefully. The gospel tells us that our faith ought to be in Jesus Christ, who alone saves. Our faith should not be tied to a particular denomination. That does not mean we ignore gathering with other believers, who by faith keep the commandments of Jesus – John 14:15. Matthew 6:33 reminds us to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness”. Seeking the kingdom of God first also applies to churches and doctrines.

God has said he will judge the Earth. Each of us will answer for what we have done. Each of us is responsible for our lives. But God has made a way for us in Jesus Christ. We do not have to face the wrath we are born to face/ We can choose life by believing in Jesus Christ, John 6:29. All the work we must do is believe in Jesus Christ, the salvation of God. All the gospel tells us in summary is to repent and turn to the kingdom of God. Jesus Christ is the way and the truth and the life; whoever believes in Jesus Christ will be saved.

Do you know who Jesus Christ is? Do you know where you will stand on the day of God’s judgment of the Earth? Would you like to learn more?
