Nothing fancy. Now and again, we need to sit and do nothing. Work if we have to, come home, lock the doors, disconnect from friends & anyone unnecessary, turn off the phones, and just rest. Pray and wait expectantly for understanding and rest.
Spending time like this allows us to fall back and recognize the presence of God. I have been fortunate enough to get a week; after work. I tend to pick up my Bible in those times and pray; that is my interaction with people.
This simple process gives a lot of rest to your inner being, where stress tends to try to knock us down a peg or two. Here, in the silence, we find the Lord waiting on us to revive us from all our running around. Wisdom and peace are there. And if you ask the right questions and expect the answers, it will be rest that brings you that solace people run into the forest for.
