Empowered to Live this Life

The gospel is a gift of life to everyone willing to believe God and receive His promises. That is to believe in Jesus. We who truly believe can tell you what God has done for us because we live this new life in Jesus Christ. I’m sure you’ve likely heard the story or some inkling of it shared in a church. I know that there are reasons many don’t want to hear about church, but the places to hear the full gospel of the kingdom of God and what Jesus Christ has done for us can only be heard from the members of the body of Christ (mostly church members and disciples) or by reading the Bible. After all, the information is free in churches that tell the truth.

Freely you received, freely give; it is written in Matthew 10:8. It is a commandment that Jesus gave to the disciples he’d sent to preach in the days he walked the earth, that stands today to us who believe the message. They were to preach the gospel of the kingdom of heaven to the old Israelites first and then spread out and preach the gospel throughout the whole world.

Everyone who believes God, by believing in Jesus Christ; that God sent him into the world and raised him from the dead, receives the gospel and shall be saved should they believe this. Believers are empowered to live a peaceful life here on this earth while we wait the physical appearance of the kingdom of heaven – John 17:15. Jesus prayed for those who believe in him and those of us who would believe until the end of time, would live an abundant life.

We are empowered to live this life boldly and humbly. Not timidly. When God first made man on the earth, before sin crept into the world through the first man; God gave him a command; have dominion over everything on this earth. When Jesus came and died for us, we were restored to the kingdom of God and are made heirs of the kingdom. But we have conflicts a plenty. Everyone who believes in Jesus faces a spiritual battle with the forces of darkness that currently run unseen in the earth.

Call these forces demons, fallen angels or whatever – they are here unseen trying to distort the truth, so we don’t believe God. Those who do not believe God are left to the powers of the spirits inhabiting this world – who are ruled by the devil.

But Jesus prayed that those who believe in him, would be empowered to live and that God would protect us from the devil. Jesus goes on to ask that we be sanctified, which means when we believe in God we are made holy by God, because Jesus prayed and are set apart for God.

What that means is; we no longer have to respond to what we used to. When our bodies try to make us lust, we are empowered to resist and are defended if we cry out to Jesus Christ because the lust in our own body is too strong. But it does not end there; Romans 8 tells us God, who did not spare His own Son, Jesus Christ, gives us everything generously. Genesis 1:28 says we are to have dominion over the fish, birds, beasts (animals) and everything on the earth – even sin.

With that understanding and a new mind in Christ, as we are told we become a new creature when we are in Jesus Christ – we gain rulership over our own bodies by believing God. He empowers us to live the life we once we conditioned to live. While some have taken this knowledge to tell people to live lavishly; God shows us that when we live within His will, humbly and contented He gives us peace and anything we need (Psalms 23).

Our lives are not problem free – Believers in Jesus Christ, Christians & Saints alike face persecutions and oppression for what we believe, along with a trove of problems everyone else faces; but we have the Lord to guide us and give us wisdom to overcome our problems in life.

We die like anyone else; but we have the hope that when Jesus Christ comes to claim us, we will wake up and live forever with God. But while we are hear we are empowered to live a full life doing the things that God has given us to do; take care of the planer and each other.

Whenever you’re afraid or having a rough day; take time to remind yourself of the power God gives us to live. While we may face problems those who believe in God can testify to you who do not believe of how much God has done for us. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us to submit what we’re doing to the Lord and he will establish our thoughts.

I know; we have no proof of God, right? While we can go through lengths to try to show you proof. You must believe God for yourself. Those who do not believe God will have no excuse at the judgment – the book of Romans verse 1:20 explains the truth; from the beginning God set everything to display His invisible attributes. Moreover, His word has been in the Earth from the beginning to us, Psalms 19:1-2. Our ancestors and parents failed to pass on the knowledge because some of them did not believe either.

But there will be no excuse on the day of judgment. It is good to come to the knowledge of God while we are alive, so that when we awake; the wrath of God will not be on us. Whatever you choose to believe after reading or hearing the gospel, does not change what God is doing. Be empowered to repent and believe God and come learn about the kingdom of heaven that is about to appear.
