Fear has a funny way of distorting the truth, to be a narrative against the truth. Fear only affects us because we are willing to let it affect us. Fear is the lie of a liar where God is concerned. When you are no longer willing to let fear be your guide to God, you will realize the many benefits God has given us in His loving son Jesus Christ, our holy and anointed Messiah. Churches on almost every block, and enough space in life to seek him out.
Accepted by God denied by fear
The fear that tells you that God won’t accept you comes from the lie of a liar. God accepted you when He sent Jesus to suffer, die, and be resurrected for our salvation unto Him. God forgave all sins long before Jesus Christ His son came to earth for the purpose of salvation but no one was listening, so Jesus came to confirm what God had been saying. “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me” (Jeremiah 15:19), and “as far as the east is from the west, so far have I removed your sins” (Psalms 103:12). The fear that tells you God won’t accept you or forgive you for your life is a liar. “Come onto me all you who labor and are weary, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28), says the Lord. A call to every human born on earth with the breath of life still in them. You only need to accept the invitation and your forgiveness in the Lord, testified to by the blood of Jesus Christ (*Isaiah 55:1-6, John 4:14).
Worship him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24). God who is a Spirit desires the kind of worshipers who worship Him in Spirit and in truth. The fear that tells you that you can’t worship God if you’re not part of a church is a lie that comes from a liar. Worshiping God begins inside of you; be concerned about the things God has said (open the Bible & your heart, read with someone if you can’t read), the words of God are life, seek them out with your heart; worship. Learn about Jesus Christ, the eternal promise of God and believe in him. Worship. Love the Lord the Almighty God, love him within your heart, with the love you ask him to give you, inside your heart and believe He will. Worship. Pray simple prayers to God about your fears, your sins, and your life, in Jesus’s name. Worship. Ask the Lord, in Jesus’ name to remove violence, debauchery, anxieties, addictions, or anything else from your life, instead of trying to do it on your own and trust Him to do it (1 Peter 4:4). Worship. Come to God and reverence Him as a Father because He has called you His children, in Jesus Christ. Worship. Find a church to share all of it with other, in Jesus’ name. Fellowship worshipers. Fear telling you that you can’t worship God because you’re not part of a church is a lie from a liar and a thief. God desires children who worship Him in truth and in Spirit, in Jesus Christ His Loving Son.
The fear that tells you that you have to be a good human to be baptized is a vicious lie from the Devil. You ought to want to be, and to strive to be a good human, but consider the two paragraphs above. If you want to be a good human, ask God to put His love into your heart and you will understand how hard it is to want to hurt anyone for anything. The occasional (“only human”) outbursts aren’t from God, but being human we are tempted into things by the devil (Job 2:3, Matthew 16:23, Luke 22:31). God forgives but they should be voided, in Jesus His strength will help you (2nd Corinthians 12:9). If you have read and are ready to be committed God, in Christ, go to the water and be baptized. You don’t need to “make yourself ready” because His love in Jesus is all that will keep you, not anything you will ever do. You don’t need to be made right. You only need to have the desire to be with God. The fear that tells you that you cannot be baptized because you’re not ready is a lie. Believe in Jesus and be baptized, The Lord has done the work. “In Jesus”, is the “complete” you want to be.
Might and Strength of my body
The fear that tells you that you have to be strong is a deceiver from a liar. “Not by might or by power”, says the Lord “but by my Spirit” (Zechariah 4:6). Jesus confirms the Holy Spirit would come to us to teach us all things that God has spoken, and that the Son of God has said (John 14:26). Take the Spirit of God, in love, in Jesus Christ as your might and strength and accept the peace of God (John 14:27). The fear that tells you that you have to be strong is a deceiver. Be strong in Christ, find your strength in the love of God instead of flexing. Flexing just causes strife, which can lead to worst things.
You were born forgiven, though we are all born into sin. God forgave all sins by the Acts of Jesus Christ (Luke 9:56). The fear that tells you that you can’t or won’t be forgiven is deception to keep you hiding from God’s grace and forgiveness. Confess your sins in prayer and confess that Jesus Christ, the son of God, is Lord and savior (Romans 10:9). Believe it in your heart. Keep praying to God in Jesus’ name, believing that the Lord will answer, and He will answer you directly. You don’t need anyone on earth to intercede for you. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God and doing that for all of us (Matthew 24:64, Hebrews 1:13, Psalms 110:1). Look to the word of God, forgiveness is already yours, no man other than Jesus Christ can give you the forgiveness God gave you. Keep studying so that the words you’re learning won’t be stolen from you. The fear that tells you that you can’t or won’t be forgiven is deception. Don’t fall for it.
The fear that tells you that God will not answer you is a liar and a thief. Seek God with your heart. In fact, seek God within your heart, your whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Pray to him in Jesus’ name. Believe that He will answer and He will come to you and lead you to the Rock that is higher than you (Psalms 61:2). With your heart, seek the Lord and He will be found. As it is written “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with your whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13)”. Any fear or anyone who says you’re wasting your time seeking God is a liar and a thief.
Fear impacts life in some unimaginable ways, until we actually see. Murder, violence, confusion, over compensating for masculinity/femininity, and a long list of “oh Lord have mercy” moments, of which I have had my share. But the fear that keeps you from talking to God is the most devious. Read the Bible from beginning to end and you will see; page after page; God is calling, inviting, extolling us to come to Him. Jesus Christ the son of God, whom the liar hates, is the answer to fear (John 3:15, 1st John 3:12). Believe in Jesus and talk to God. Don’t be ashamed of talking to the Lord, in Jesus’ name. When you talk to God you will find a God, a Father who is unashamed to come to you in whatever shape your life is in, despite whatever people believe or say about you. Jehovah the God of infinite love is the God who calls you day and night hoping you will listen (Hebrews 4:7-8). That is who fear is trying to keep you from answering in your heart.
Two things you need to realize for yourself; God will not force you to accept forgiveness through the grace given to us in, Jesus Christ. In Jesus, God will not refuse you or turn you away when you come to him in whatever circumstance (John 6:37). You only need to talk to God, in the name of Jesus Christ his son and seek Him with your heart (Jeremiah 29:13). Better, your whole heart.
And the truth that fear doesn’t want you to understand: In the Messiah, there is no fear when you believe (1st John 4:18). There is love. Love tosses out the fear. You can love the Lord with the Love God gives to you through His son, Jesus Christ. In this Love of God as you mature in His son Jesus, you can do all things because the Lord, in Christ will strengthen you (Philippians 4:13). The Good you want to be, you will be. At peace (John 14:27, Isaiah 42:13-14). In Love (John13:34). Now, if you join a church, God will love you for this too, because that means you love your fellow man (part of the love your neighbor as yourself command).
